If you are burning wood on a wood burning stove, it really should be dry, 25% is the maximum water content for efficient wood burning. Our Log Stores (wood store) have been designed in the UK to encourage nature to naturally dry freshly sawn timber as quickly as possible. Dependent upon type of wood, diameter and length, split or not split, this process can take anywhere between six and twenty-four months.

Dry wood is a must for any type of wood burning. You must either buy pre-dried timber and keep it dry, or season your own. The log store has been designed in a modular fashion, therefore facilitating both types of approach.

One log store holds 1.5 cubic metres of logs, if you are buying pre dried timber this may be adequate for your needs. However, if you are naturally seasoning larger quantities just join two or more together side by side or back to back. Remember burning dry wood will give you efficient, cost effective heating with your wood burning stove.

Our log stores have been designed to be used single, side by side or back to back. In fact join as many log stores together as you feel you need. Storing more wood will ensure you are efficient and never run out of dry ready to use wood for burning on your wood burning stove.

Log Store Cedar Shingle Roof

The log store is supplied pre fitted with a felt tile roof, as a finishing touch a cedar shingle roof can be installed. The cedar shingles are supplied in a kit with stainless steel nails and fitting instructions.
